August 13, 2008, “Energy Business Review” published that the hydroelectric scheme at the Romney Weir (below Windsor Castle) was approved by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Planning Committee. nPower is utilizing plans and technology from Southeast Power Engineering. (read more)
20 May 08 – Submitting planning application for Romney Weir
On May 20, 2008 nPower submitted a planning application to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Planning Authority to seek approval for a revised design for the Romney Weir hydroelectric project. This project had been contemplated in the past, but thanks to new technology from Southeast Power Engineering, the project now looks eminently feasible. (read more)
